Cozumel and Mayan Riviera

Planning a trip next February for a family member's wedding in Playa del Carmen. Thought I'd treat the wife to a week at Cozumel and was wondering; 1) which resorts / hotels are nice, clean and safe, nearby authentic Mexican restaurants [no Hooters or BW3] and would be suitable for a diving couple who may or may not dive every day.
2) Vintage [ok, Kraken and Phoenix equipped RAM] friendly dive operations with morning / afternoon trips.

3) Cenote diving, operations that would be good for experienced divers [not cave certified], and which cenotes are your favorites.

I value your prior experience and recommendations.
