Doubles J-Rod?

Mon Apr 28, 2014 9:51 pm

I'm putting together a doubles set with steel 72s and a solid bar US Divers J-valve manifold and am in need of an appropriate rod for the J-valve. I have no experience with J-valves, or doubles for that matter, and so don't know what length to ask for.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks

They are no longer sold unless you can find one on ebay. Buy 24 inches of 3/16" (.1875") stainless steel rod and make your own.

Or don't use one, just reach back over your shoulder to operate it.

Thanks for the info Captain.
I'll be making my own. Seems easier than tracking one down.

If you have a local dive shop that has been around a long time, they might have some that are from a "forgotten era". I just recently say a few hanging on a shelf in the back corner of the shop I use....
