Returning a Phoenix from DIN back to yoke

Fri Apr 12, 2019 12:38 am

I recently got my hands on a nice re-homed Phoenix that has DIN on it. I want to change it back to yoke so that it will fit better with my backplate but I can’t find any info on what yoke will work and what other parts might be needed.

You will need one of these
https://vintagedoublehose.com/store/#!/ ... p/34067245

and I use a yoke from either a Seaquest or US Divers SEA reg like these, nice heavy yoke and fits over all the valves that a Conshelf won't
You can find them especially Seaquest cheap

Can you post a picture of your DIN fitting?

The older and vast majority of the Phoenix uses the same yoke threads as a Conshelf and there are several different yoke options you can use.

The most recent/ newer Phoenix uses a Metric yoke thread that is compatible with the Mares yokes and many several other new regulators.

If we can see a picture, we can tell which one you have.

If you are not interested on keeping the DIN fitting, it is very possible that someone would swap with you.

In either case, VDH can also locate anew yoke for you, but he may not have them in stock at the moment.

I can’t seem to post a picture( not very computer savvy). I compared it to the threads of a conshelf 21 and a yoke nut off of an old conshelf vii and the threads are finer. If I order the nut in the previous post will it fit?
