For those who may have missed the 1st episode of Spearfishing In A Kenner, Louisiana Drainage Canal here is the second. It is to my detriment to acknowledge that I know some of these guys.

Tom, remember when we went over to Dick Wilgus's place and he drove us across the dam.....The alligator gar on the lake side looked as big as sharks and there were dozens of them...

Anytime you can involve diving with a machete and hammer you can count me in!!

I didn't know Gar were edible; thought they were just a trash fish. Wouldn't mind trying some.. :)

I have traded many a nutria tail for bounty.

I just got me a new Nutria rifle, Savage 22 heavy barrel. Got to have something to do when I retire.

Alright, I refuse to look up nutria in case you guys are sending us "not in the know" on some sort of cyber-snipe hunt. BUT...what the hell is a nutria?

Kind of looks like a 40lb rat. Originally from South America they live in the marshes and along canals and eat grass.
