Mike Nelson's boat

Thu Oct 11, 2018 2:35 am

Mike Nelson's Argonaut undergoing a retrofit. Might have to stop in next time I'm in San Diego and check it out. Mark

I can't believe it is still in such good shape after all of these years... Considering the demise of the Calypso.

It all about maintenance. There are airplanes still flying that were built 80 years ago.

Something is a little off here.
The article says it's a 61 model but the series was 58-61 so the years don't match unless it's the "last" boat used on SH as opposed to "the" boat used.

There are also some details on the pictures that do not match. I thought maybe there has been a few upgrades (the vent louvers on the aft starboard side for example, is different)

The video clip inserted into the article is labeled Season 4 Episode 26
If I'm not mistaken in the final season there was a different boat.

And I provide technical support for the majority of them.

Nice boat, if MN were alive today filming Sea Hunt 2018 he would have triple Mercs or Yaammies on a CC.

They blowed up his boat in the last couple episodes. Maybe it's now like that song about the guy that took home an entire car off the assembly line one piece at a time in his lunch box. The boat is now a 58 59 60 61 62....
