According to the Portage Quarry website The Legends event will be on Saturday; August 8th this year. If all goes as planned I am going to attend this year, and was wondering who else will be there. Looking forward to seeing all of you once again! :D Terry

Monica just txtd me that the visibility was about 3 ft. So for diving we better plan on going somewhere else and perhaps to Portage for swap and BS time...

Looks like white star may be an alternate site. 18 miles from portage in gibsonburg. Maybe gilboa. Unfortunately I don't think the gilboa owner understands the vintage concept :(

Three foot vis - YIKES! :? Looks like all of us need to be giving some thought as to what our "PLAN B" is going to be. I don't know how everyone else feels; but my feelings are that we're a group of "Vintage" divers; so let's keep it that way, and if need be then find somewhere else to dive that is vintage friendly! Just my $.02. Terry

The Kemps Cow had some ideas so someone get in touch with him and see if he will enlighten us :)

PM sent to The Cow; hopefully he'll be able to shed some light on any options we might have with other quarries. I saw him last month at Fortune Pond and I know he has had some contact with other quarries in regards to us diving vintage. Hopefully we'll hear from him later today; if not then I guess we'll have to shine The Kemps Cow Beacon into the night sky! :P  Terry

How about Gilboa (provided Mike will really not have issues with us) on Friday. Saturday Portage, because without Jeff this thing would never have started and the swao meet it there anyhoo. Sunday we do White Star. I have not been to gilboa for over a decade so I cannot really say if it is a good quarry. White Star I have been to twice recently and the viz was 45 feet and 25 feet on the two trips I did. The parking was ample, the cost was reasonable, and there is a fill station that is open on weekends (not sure of the hours). You can also park close tot he water and are not forced to carry your gear a country mile to get in the water. :D
