So far we have been having a BLAST! The weather held out all day on SAturday and we had sun and fun. The clear FX made its debut and Jeff as always showed all of the vinatge crowd a grand time. Many pics will be posted in the next few days by Greg, Barb, and others I am sure. Today will be a light day as many had to leave already, but Jeff still has thousands of dollars of gifts to give away. You should have seen the guy's face who won the Mistral reg from VDH!!!

This video from a few yaers back will hold you guys for now....

Here are a few pictures. Due to a record heat wave through the month of July, the visibility was significantly below normal due to a major algae bloom.

Greg was right. Viz sucked. Not sure if the reason was algae however.

Portage wsa a great time as usual. Great to see old friends and make new ones. Lots of opportunities to talk with divers who are curious or interested in vintage equipment diving but don't get a chance to ask. Stay tuned for a special U/W video clip from Greg Barlow....1st time I've ever seen "The Lung" loose his composure underwater
Swap meet was full of surprises for everyone. I now have enough parts to add on a wing in the stores single hose section for Scubapro and Dacor.
Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB

Greg,
The photos are great, algae or not! Thanks a bunch for taking and posting them.
I really enjoyed the chance to meet you fellows (and your understanding & patient Wives  ).
I would have been happy to drive three times as far for the opportunity to put a face with the names on here, and now that I have... ... I feel like I went to clown college for the weekend... :o

Fortunately... EVERYONE was as absolutely warm, generous & talented, as they were fussy, opinionated, and eccentric! More so, really, much more so. I have rarely met a group of individuals who I can say, in the most fundamental sense of the word, were as absolutely decent.

It was a wonderful couple of days, and I can’t wait for my next chance to hook-up again.
I feel even luckier now to have wandered in here when I did, and become part of a group such as ours.

Thanks to All for a perfect trip! :D :D :D

Bryan, I burned a disk with the "evidence". The HD video file is rather large, so it just about took up an entire CD. I will mail it to the VDH abode.

I can't believe that another Legends weekend has come and gone. Friday - Sunday just isn't enough time, especially with some folks having to make a serious trek to and from Portage. We were fortunate to have the bad weather miss us. As always, there was a lot of interesting conversation, equipment and diving. We enjoyed our time and I not only got to use several of my double hoses, but got both of the kids diving the Phoenix. I'll work with Lilian to have her on the Phoenix by next year, so that we can be a 100% vintage scuba family. Great seeing everybody again, and for those who didn't make it, try for next year. The area is rich in quarries, so if possible add on a day or two to hit some of the other locales nearby, either on your way in or out.

Great pics too, I'll post some tonight when I can.
Too DAAM Many double hoses, It's not a hobby, it's an addiction.

The clear 50 Fathom looks great! :D

... I wonder if it can be coupled with clear silicone hoses with a clear diaphragm as well :D
