Sportways 1/2" Rebuild

Wed Aug 31, 2016 11:40 pm

Do the sportsways valves use the same seats and parts as the USD valves? They look very similar. The seat looks different on the bottom but otherwise looks like the ones Bryan has for the USD valves. All other parts look like standard parts.

I seem to recall that Robert's Basic Scuba had a diagram with all the parts on if I am not mistaken. That might help you,

- I don't think the seats are interchangeable. I once bought a Sportways J-Valve on Ebay that arrived with no seat in it. And I have plenty of USD valves I could have scrounged from. I remember SeaHunt Jerry saved me by selling me a Sportsways K-valve that had a seat... He gave it to me for $5 if I remember. Thanks Jerry!
