Have you seen the price?

I can't remember what it was selling for, but it was not cheap.

XS Scuba also sells a brand new "J" valve. Again the price was not what I would ever consider.

IMO, the market for the "J" valve is for the commercial diver that is required by OSHA to have a reserve valve in situations when the visibility is so poor that the diver can not read the SPG.

price? yeah. Somewhere just "south" of $80 from the "Big NYC Retailer".....

the j-valve and the solid bar manifold are stupid expensive...

Many years back, when I was very new to the sport, I had a shop wreck the post valves on a sweet pair of 72's I had been using as singles. At that time, there seemed little hope to do anything (pre-internet days), and I gave them to a guy who was using them for a hydraulic application....

If only this was available then, I would have seriously considered them. I had gotten the tanks for next to nothing......

I miss those tanks now....

I'm always on the lookout for a set of MP/LP 72's (.75 thread) as I have a Sherwood center post dual outlet manifold and bands.

I have two steel 72s with 1/2" j-valves in them and I will sell them to you if this is what you are referring to.

True, but your tone tells me that you don't want either of the two sets of 3/4" tanks that I have in my garage either.
