I would agree with you 100% until you see the price

I came across these manifolds about a month ago and thought the same as you Captain. 8)

The price is an obstacle though. :?

They are being produced for the DoD market... most don't have that kind of dive budget. But we are all paying for them indirectly so keep that in mind

I'm not trying to beat the drum for Uncle, but keep in mind that anything milspec is super expensive. We do some milspec work where I work, and lots of things get rejected or fail to meet spec and must be retested. Having ten engineers look at something with a government rep present costs a lot of money. Some of our IT systems are very much like the ones you could buy at Best Buy, but they are so heavily tested that their cost is 5 times what you would pay as a consumer. Having said that, I bet those single outlet manifolds will last forever with that PVD coating and construction. Having said all of that...I still want one. 8)

the biggest allure is that they utilize the currently adopted standard spacing to work with modern bands. The Aqualung [ http://www.aqualung.com/militaryandprof ... _07-07.pdf ] does not....

The "military 100" bands(if that is what they are called) can work though with 7.25" dia. tanks if you can find them (or at least mine does...)
