All hail the Triples

Wed Jul 29, 2009 10:53 pm

I wanted to thank Andy B all public like for scoring these for me. I am one happy diver and can't wait to get them hydroed, tumbled(if needed) and harnesses by the master Allan Klauda (both Korean War and standard version of course).
The big box arrives at theSCUBAmuseum.com address

I open it with the excitement of a little girl....

I remove the packing and peer inside... and I spy with my little eye.........

The manifold is crusty but nothing a cleaning and a rebuild will not fix..

Gorgeous simply gorgeous...

Thanks again Andy for the hard work and attn to detail..........

Actually it is something else entirely if you can believe that? It did cross my mind to have the manifold master overhaul the Museum's triple manifold however...... :D

Jim

Well, Jim I am hoping to have them hydroed and ready to reassmble in time for that. It will be a tight squeeze but Roger is going to help me tonight with some VIPing since my vip light is too fat to use on half inch tanks. After that I am wisking the tanks off to the hydro place and then I may enlist Greg or Roger to supervise as I reassmble them. I also need to send Allan a cheque for the goovey Voit Gray harness he made me as well as the harnesses I am comissioning him to make for me for the trips. Let us all pray they pass hydro and VIZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :?

You have joined the exclusive group. Congratulations!

They will test okay I am sure. Some Naval Jelly will clean them up, so a trip to Home Depot is in order. You are lucky to have the O-ring valve, as the O-washers are hard to find.

Best wishes.

Steve
