And here I was going to do a stealth parascuba into your pond from 12,000 feet. No worries, no plans to be in Texas anytime soon.

I really was going to quit this fascination/obsession, but I keep finding parts that lead to some new Diving Lung project. Can't help myself.
So these parts showed up last week as I was cleaning up the shop, and set me to thinkin'.



Something will come of this pretty soon (I hope).

I'd be happy to take that brass yoke and nut off your hands if it won't be needed. ;]

OOPS... too late! I have already installed it on the yoke version of my Bendix Aviation reg collection. Sure looks good there.

Latest version of the Diving Lung finished today. I converted one of my Bendix Aviation regs to a yoke mount for easy use on most any modern tank valve. Also places the diaphragm side over two inches closer to diver's back for additional decrease in breathing effort.

What If...
- I just wonder what the diving equipment world would look like today if Bill Tucker had been improving the Bendix regs back in the 1950s. Bill, you are truly a renaissance-type guy. So many of us have been helped as well as just plain educated and inspired by your posts, projects, ideas, and even personal emails. Congratulations on this latest triumph!

You have always been a great friend and supporter of my crazy projects over the years, and I appreciate your interest and the kind words.
Also want you to know that I read everything you post with great interest in your activities and projects. I just don't always respond, but rest assured, I keep up with what you are posting.

The diving lung mounted on my compact 27's

With the lung turned toward diver's back the inhalation horn is on diver's left, so mouthpiece valves are reversed. The small wings are easily removed from the harness for normal vintage style diving, but I may leave them on for solo dive this week.

I recently acquired the makings of Bendix Lung conversion #3. Doesn't look like much in this photo, but I have hopes for it to be a good one. It will be a "back to the basics" diving lung, utilizing the slightly modified/simplified internal first stage. More photos soon, when it starts to look recognizeable.
