Unusual Silicone Diaphragm Found in Voit VR-1

I was rebuilding a fellow collector's Voit VR-1 single stage, double hose regulator, and found this unusual translucent silicone diaphragm inside. In all of my years of rebuilding regs, I had never seen one before. Does anyone have any information on it?

Hi Greg,
It probably was from a US Divers Survair they had the same size diaphrams I have one somewhere in a reg(Not new in the box :(
