Quick question:

Niels, I noted that in your photo, the plate is spelled as "Narguile." However, in Karl Gehring's Scuba Museum, the plate there is spelled as "Narghile"

Why the difference, and are they both correct?

Was pushing some things around tonight in the guest bedroom / dive locker to prepare for some painting, and had these guys all grouped up together in a corner for the first time...

Not a bad looking family if I do say so!

Has your significant other seen these? Quick, spread them apart again, before she sees 'em! :D

Otherwise, great collection!

LOL !
Ed, you’re right on the money with that… visual dilution has been key to continued acquisition. A few here, few there, a well-placed sweatshirt draped there… I am sure to be asking for trouble with all the eggs in one basket as it were, but it does make a nice sight…
I just need to find a hollow couch or something I can set over them. :D

To quote one of my non-diving friends...."Pretty colors!"

Nice collection 8, and they are so well behaved! They must play nicely with each other. The trick is to not think about the $$$$ you have wrapped up in them, but how much pleasure you get from collecting/looking/diving/working/petting them. And then passing that feeling to the spouse....

Eh, you have good eyes Ed :D
I don't no the reason, but as you have seen, you can find two differents spelling for Narghile.
But nargUilé is extremly rare, I have seen only 3 regs written narguile in about 17 years...and Niels own one of them :) Lucky guy

Maybe the "Narguile" labels were made when the guy in charge of labels was having a bad day. Either that, or it was Friday and he was in a hurry to go out and party.. :P

Well, I needed to know because I liked the label enough that I wanted something that looked okay for my collection:

Geez-Louize, Ed! What are you trying to do to us with those beautiful labels? Now you got me wondering what they might fit on... The steering wheel of my boat, a hubcap, keychain... I certainly don't need another double hose regulator... Or do I? Hmmm...

Congrats and nice looking rig! How did the Snark III breathe? I have the same reg and dove for first time last week and it was a bit hard. I have adjusted levers and will try again tomorrow hopefully....same config with black hoses, etc.....that reg is heavy as a brick but way cool. 8)
