Those are some interesting weight systems. It makes our weights seem boring.
But, simple (boring) is also good.

Thanks for the pictures.

Today I cleaned out the garage and got everything ready for the dive season. I also took the opertunity to take a few document photos for Insurance (and Bragging rights). Here is my family

Of course, some tanks need to be dressed up nicely for viewing from behind.

Well see what I just stumbled into yesterday…

The Polaris looks like it’s in pretty good shape chrome included but hoses bad, the Mistral looks like it’s in good shape but chrome is a little spotty and hoses bad, Healthways is real nice and rubber is almost workable but the dam thing is bent, really bent, must have been on a tank and tipped over, off a table… don’t know, may be terminal, but it will make a nice display. Tank is a Healthways too, and looks to be a galv. 50 with a ½” White Stag valve. Haven’t taken valve or boot off to inspect closer but may just use it to display reg. anyway. Anybody know a source for a Healthways tank sticker/decal ???

All in all the price was right, the collection is now that much more comprehensive, and I have some additional projects for next winter! :D

Nice find. I hope you can get that Healthways back in form. The new diaphragm's sound like they're the cat's meow, and a blue hoser just needs to be dove.

Looks like everything you found was in great shape. Must have been stored in an indoor closet becuase that stuff looks almost pristine.

Congratulations.

Andy,
What you have are Cousteau Constant Volume Suit hood (dry suit) which first apperaed in the 1953 USD catalog. I owned one from 1966-1973(out grow it)and traded for other gear to a dive shop in Santa Barbara,Ca.

Thats a squale mask in the hood, some time refered to as the "SEAL" suit.

The shop located on the marine center had the hood hangin it's wall for a few years.

Where did you ever find them?

Hi Andy,

There's a PDF of the Phoque in the Downloads section, under La Spirotechnique:

I just got one of these gages in very good condition, but the depth gauge tube is shot. Where can I get a section of tubing?

Got to like the wooden goggles. I have a pair and they seal as good as a pair from speedo.
