Some video of a few regs. I rebuild this winter. Oh, don't eat roasted goat the night before you test dive regs,

Bravo! And thanks for the great advertising at the end. You should leave the snorkel in your gear bag :) I enjoyed the hose twisting demo......

Thanks Bryan,

As long as I make u-tube vids involving regulators I will continue to mention both you and Rob. Hey, without you guys I would be back to paying a $100 or more for a Mistral HP seat. You and Rob both make good products and I am proud to tout them. Great Quality and Excellent service with reliable products that are made from the heart by those who use them.
The food grade hoses really DO allow for newbie screw-ups like twisted hoses that will still let you breath. When I did that, I experienced no lessening of flow per breath. Kind of a safety thing, if you think about it. The old rubber hoses WOULD cut your air off due to materials collapse from not being able to flex like a silicon hose can.

Every Diver Knows, When It's Time To Double Hose, You'd Better Get Kraken!

My first Voit Regulator

Tue Jun 30, 2015 4:51 pm

Voit is rebuilt and up and running. I've got new cans from Rob, but I am going to run this baby original for now. Thanks for the help Rob with new diaphragms. I used one of Bryan's new HP seats with a Conshelf pin cut down. IP is right at 128.

Looking good Russ. I have a Trieste 2 I have never dove in original config. In a set of Scuba Museum cans it is one of my favorites to dive - so I have never set it back.

Thanks Geoff, I am taking it to the Red Sea this weekend using double steel 80s and a horse collar. Should be fun. I am going to mate it with a MR12 second to complete the look. Should be fun.

Ancilliary Scuba PORN

Sat Aug 08, 2015 9:51 am

I remember the quip Bryan said about no "scuba porn" for the photo contest and I just had to get some scuba porn together. In this case its ancillary stuff/ :D I wonder how many of the items will be identified by the dive gurus, potentates and nabobs on this forum?

I stand corrected, the correct quote was "Gear Porn" This last weekend we took 66 years young John Brennan of Chicago DHing for the first time using my Kraken. He has been diving since the late 70s but never got a chance to DH when he was a "Hippie" back in the 50s-60s John thought the reg was way cool. Another Double Hose Cherry busted. Granted his picture here isn't vintage, but mine are. My Voit Trieste worked like a dream and I used a SP R108 as an "octo". Great dive weekend here at the Red Sea.

Loved the doff and don technique. It was fun to watch and bring back memories of pool training sessions and demonstrations.

The collection is growing!

Royal Aquamaster, Phoenix HPR, Mistral, Jet air. Next projects are the V2 and the Voit FX

It becomes an out of control passion/obsession after awhile don't it? Since I don't have my wife over here, I rebuild and dive these things to keep myself out of mischief. That and it's real fun getting these things (Masks, Fins, Snorkels, Regulators) up and diving again. That and it's cheaper than re-building 1950s-60s automobiles.

Goodlifedivers

It's a Aqua Lung backpack mid 70's era.
It's in the 1975 catalog
