I know that most days I'd like to be anon! I give many many thanks to our web administrator for giving us options and new things to enhance the site.
Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB

Would both the user name AND the real name appear on the posts?
I use the same user name on all three forums to which I belong (all SCUBA, 2 vintage, by the way) and I'd like to remain known as "duckbill" here as well as on the others to keep things simple.

I perfer the username and not the full name.

It somewhat reduces your "footprint" on the internet so that a search of your real name on google does't pull every single post you ever made.

It helps with privacy and in todays world you need all the help you can get.

What he said.
I'm still not clear, though, if the username would appear on the posts at all. At this point I'm just curious. JES brought up a good point and I'll be voting no. Of course, Bryan has the final say as you pointed out.
