took the new toy to the beach.
dive time 2 hrs
water temp 88
max depth 23'
tank pressure start 3600 finish 1000
no it didn't help find big teeth

Unbelievable how smooth and effortless it breathes.
I thought that I had my Phoenixes breathing nice.

Wish I could post some pics
took a few at the start of the dive but later in the dive noticed water in the housing
sent it to the surface hoping to stop the leaking. at the end of the dive it was over 1/4 full
hopefully can save some pics went the card dries out

Here's how the Phoenix fits on the Freedom plate.
With the new can design it sits lower and places the reg in a good position.

Looking forward to using my one but having problems with our EU tanks.

So if you plan to take your Kraken abroad make sure they have tanks available with the old style square tank valves (non DIN).

See viewtopic.php?f=41&t=7756 for details.

He is dive #1 with a DH and my Kraken. The Islander in the St. Lawrence River. The Red just makes a statement. Shame he didn't catch the Force Fins I had on.....

Twin AL63's with an Aqualung "Navy" manifold on a VDH Plate and a Dive Rite CCR wing.

COOL!!!! (though I need to trim my harness waist band)

Wow, those red hoses really pop in the strobes, thanks for sharing. Dive site looks ghostly scary.

I really like the way the Argonaut can works with my Oxy 18/30 wings. With the Phoenix I had to roll the top of the wing down but with the Argonaut can the wing tucks nicely into the area between the bottom can and the tank valve. Very nice design work or maybe it was luck, but however it came about, I like it a lot.

natural light - no strobe! We were probably in about 40' of water at the time. Yeah, there is something "ghostly" about these.....quite fitting for the Kraken

Wow, natural light? Did you boost levels in Photoshop?

Luis, , you know I was just checking to see if you were there for sport

The wedge or tapered flying saucer shape is really very beneficial to those who dive a wing. Still, the off center inflator hose types are what you want for best success.

When I had one to play with pre-production, I did not beat it up but I was not easy on it either. I lifted the tank by the can, pulled on the hoses, did a back flip off of Bryan's patio and splatted at his feet to do a impact test on it  (now that was by accident  and it hurt) . All in all, I think y'all did a bang up job on it.

And the Venturi action, wow, nice job!

Another question...

Is the Kraken okay for up to 40% Oxygen or just rated for regular air?

BTW - Cold bleak and wet in Northern Ireland, sea temp 12c/53f and 1m/3ft waves so I may not have risked using my Kraken for its maiden dive (back using my dry suit).

You can use the Argonaut with nitrox up to 40%. When I am in the Caribbean I often use nitrox with my Argonaut.

You only have to oxygen clean a regulator when you are using higher than 40% oxygen.

The Argonaut can be oxygen clean for higher (>40%) oxygen use, but those higher O2 content nitrox are normally used for stage bottles, not back gas. Since a double hose should be back-mounted, it would be unlikely that you would ever need to use it with greater than 40% oxygen.

I saw that. That is great.
Congratulations.

There will be a few Argonauts in Cozumel this year.
