La Spirotechnique Regulator Divers

Mon Jan 07, 2019 11:45 pm

Ahoy!
Some of you may recognize my name from VSP.
Does anyone here dive Spirotechnique regulators? (Mistral, Royal Mistral, etc)

Just wanted to get a census of how many users in North America use Spirotechnique regs.

I have 2 of each and dive them a few times a year.
Also have a few single hose regs that sit in a draw.

My favorite single stage.
Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB

Definitely an excellent regulator. Yes the Souplaur does count! Another fine example of the Mistral, but with a different label.

How deep have you all been with the Spiro Mistral/Royal Mistral? I'd also like to compile some data on the depth of the dive. It might prove handy when I go to an LDS and try to prove the safety record of a Spiro Mistral.

Wasn't Cousteau diving a Royal on the Britannic? That was well over 300 feet. I think they said 370 in the video. Personally I haven't dove my Souplair that much, but I have had my USD Mistral and DivAir down past 120 feet. They are also single stage regs.

Most of my dives are in the 30' range and average 2+ hrs per dive.
