Double Hose Snorkel?

Thu Oct 26, 2017 5:11 pm

What will they think of next to get people to spend their money on?

Looks to me like both tubes are for inhalation, and exhalation goes out the exhaust vent in front of the mouth. But with one-way valves to keep you from exhaling air back up the tubes, what happens if water fills one or both tubes.? You would purge whatever amount of water is in the reservoir in front on exhale and then you would inhale the remaining water in the tubes on the next breath? Maybe I'm not seeing something but, to me, it looks like a product liability defense lawyer's nightmare. My 2psi.

D'oh,

Mark, now you are making me feel silly. Just two days ago I finished making a loop snorkel; however, I've not tried it yet. Here's where I got the idea.

Most of you don't know this, but Bryan has an Argonaut double hose snorkel he keeps under lock and key. Perhaps he'll post a picture sometime.
A sincere THANK YOU to all at VDH who make this wonderful resource available and to all the thoughtful contributors.

Guy I dive with all the time said the full face snorkel is kind of nice.
