Marathon Swimming

Tue Jun 28, 2016 12:25 pm

If anyone is interested, my wife's cousin is currently on the 3rd leg of the worlds longest swimming marathon. The event is called the 8 Bridges and covers the entire length of the Hudson River where they average about 18 miles a day. She is the youngest person to have ever made it passed stage 2 and will be 1 of 6 people in the world to have ever completed this. She swam the English Channel two years in around 12 hours. You can read more on the link below and follow along with the tracker on the page. Her name is Paige Christie from Andover Mass and is only 23.

Very impressive, she is leading after 2 stages, while most competitors are already DNFs.

Wow.....That is hella amazing period!
Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB
