Re-Machining of Main Bodies

Tue Jan 18, 2011 7:12 pm

I have seen people that have taken main regulator bodies of Navy Approved 2 stages and Navy Type DA's and re-machined the orfive to accept the parts to install later DA parts. I am kinda working on a project so I need one machined and would prefer a body that does not have the un-machined hookah port. Does this make any sense?
Someone told me that diving a double hose reg will kill me. I had no idea these things were dangerous.

Probably not a lot. For what reason. The cost would far exceed the cost of a later Aqua Master body unless you have the capability and equipment to do it yourself.
