Does this still exist?

Mon Jun 09, 2014 2:28 am

While, I have not yet met the criteria of diving my pre 1975 equipment (rebuild in progress), I am looking forward to the day when I will. At that time I would be very interested in joining NAVED. However the last post in this part of the forum was nearly 18 months ago. Does NAVED still exist?

As an operating association with officers and a operational plan and dues paying members, no. As a loose association of divers who share an interest in vintage equipment, yes. It never made the transition from the latter to the former.

Then I shall meditate upon this and when I am worthy, I will lift the boiling cauldron with my bare arms, take my photo and send in my $25.00 offering. (Will see if anyone gets the cauldron reference). :D

Jeez, I guess I'd better join. I kind of feel left out. I'll get a good pic this weekend for the photo requirement as most of my photos are videos. :D

 :?: WHAT? DOES NO ONE ELSE WANT TO JOIN THIS ELITE ORGANIZATION???? I would think that more vintage buffs would like to be a member of this prestigious entity. I have shown the card to several Dive Shops, Dive Instructors, etc. and they all thought it was cool. Granted, it is an association of vintage buffs, but it does carry a little gravitas just due to the fact the holder does dive vintage when everyone else is weighted down with so called modern dive rigs and gizmos.

I used mine for a photo ID at a hospital. They accepted it!
