There is a Tekna Regulator guide in the manuals and catalogs section. Link is at the bottom of every page on the site. I did a lot of diving with Tekna regulators and when they worked they were great.....Key part being "when they worked" Hope this helps.

Hey Bryan

Thanks for the info, yaa im a sucker for "Old Skool" regs. I just feel that "Old Skool" regs have more story to tell.
By any chance do you know anyone has parts for it?
Cheers!

First stage is basically a MK 5....Rob at The Scuba Museum has some parts last I heard.

I have an older Tekna T-2100 BX second stage reg that I used to love diving with... so easy-breathing at depth, last used at 52m on the President Coolidge in Santo in the early 1980's. Light in the mouth and mine never suffered the 'shallow-water flutters' that some reported. I have only encountered the plastic bodied 2100 BX's here in Australia, the chromed brass bodied 2100 would have been very cool!

The side vented exhaust was a boon as a budding photographer using a Nikonos III film camera with Sekonic lightmeter... 36 or 37 shots only, inevitably the best image was on frame 37 with a good chance of a processing staple through the middle!

Due to lack of parts and other priorities it sat in a box in the garage ever since, but moving house recently I rediscovered it.

Pulling it down for a bit of cleaning and restoration, the Purge Button (12208) had some corrosion pitting around the stainless external circlip aka Retaining Ring (12176) which caused it to break in half during removal

Anyone know what size these clips were... I assume they are an Imperial/US size not Metric?

Thanks!
